  • 2 packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 3 tablespoons instant coffee granules
  • 6 tablespoons hot coffee (prepared)
  • 7 to 8 cups icing sugar (sifted)
  • 3 drops bitters (Angostura bitters)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream butter and cream cheese until smooth.

  • Step 2: Dissolve coffee granules in hot prepared coffee.

  • Step 3: Add to creamed mixture; beat until blended.

  • Step 4: Add 7 cups icing sugar.

  • Step 5: Continue to beat until light and fluffy.

  • Step 6: Stir in bitters.

  • Step 7: If needed, add more icing sugar to bring to spreading consistency
