Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 large beef short ribs (bone in)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive oil)
  • 1 large yellow onion (cut into 4 thick slices)
  • 8 small carrots (new carrots scraped clean)
  • 3 large parsnips (peeled, cut into 3 inch pieces)
  • 8 baby potatoes (new nugget potatoes, brushed clean)
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 can (398 ml) stewed tomatoes (Italian)
  • 1 cup chili sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a heavy skillet.

  • Step 2: Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.

  • Step 3: Add short ribs to pan and sear on all sides.

  • Step 4: Place the 4 slices onion on the botton of the Crock Pot.

  • Step 5: Place a short rib on each onion slice.

  • Step 6: Add potatoes, carrots and parsnips.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle in the chopped garlic.

  • Step 8: Pour in the tomatoes and chili sauce.

  • Step 9: Turn crock pot on low

  • Step 10: Cook for 5-6 hours

  • Step 11: The meat should be falling off the bones

  • Step 12: Serve and enjoy
