Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (5 ounce) instant vanilla pudding mix (or french vanilla or banana)
  • 2 cups milk (cold)
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tub (8 ounce) Cool Whip Topping (softened)
  • 1 package (12 ounce) vanilla wafers
  • 6 whole bananas (or more, firm, ripe bananas, cut into slices)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a mixer, using medium speed, mix the pudding with the milk until beginning to thicken, approx 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 2: Add the sweetened condensed milk - mix until blended.

  • Step 3: Mix in the vanilla.

  • Step 4: Under low speed, mix in the cool whip until just blended.

  • Step 5: In the trifle bowl, layer wafers, sliced bananas and pudding - end with pudding.

  • Step 6: Decorate with a few wafers at the end.

  • Step 7: Cover with plastic wrap and let chill at least 2 hours.

  • Step 8: May garnish with whipped cream if desired, before serving.
