Step 1: Combine seasoned flour ingredients in a bowl.
Step 2: Combine water and egg yolk. Gradually add to dry ingredients.
Step 3: Heat Crisco to 365°F in deep pan or fryer to a depth of about 2-inches.
Step 4: Moisten chicken pieces. Dip in seasoned flour then into batter then back in flour. Fry in hot Crisco for 15 to 18 minutes or until well browned. Drain on paper.
