Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 box (4.7 oz) Betty Crocker au gratin potatoes
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons margarine (or butter)
  • 6 bacon slices (cooked, crumbled)
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (4 oz)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions (4 medium)
  • 1/4tsp coarse ground black pepper
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 bread crumbs (plain bread crumbs)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2: In 2-quart casserole, mix Potatoes, Sauce Mix, boiling water, half-and-half and butter. Stir in remaining potato ingredients.

  • Step 3: Bake uncovered 35 minutes.

  • Step 4: In small bowl, mix bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle over top. Bake 8 minutes longer or until topping is golden.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle with parsley. Let stand 5 minutes before serving (sauce will thicken as it stands).
