Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 200 g halloumi cheese
  • 1/3 cup seasoned flour
  • 2 -3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Dressing
  • 2 -3 limes, juice and zest
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 2 teaspoons coarse grain mustard
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander leaves, coarsely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pat cheese dry with paper towels, then slice into fingers, about 1x3 inches.

  • Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the dressing ingredients. Adjust seasonings to taste. Set aside.

  • Step 3: Coat the cheese slices in seasoned flour.

  • Step 4: Heat oil in frying pan and fry the cheese slices, about one minute per side, until golden.

  • Step 5: Place on a serving platter, then pour the dressing over the cheese. Serve immediately.
