Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (9-inch) chocolate pie crust (ready-made, I use Oreo)
  • 2 boxes (3.4 ounces each) cook-and-serve chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup whiskey (preferable Jameson, but any good Irish whiskey will do)
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 8 ounces whipped cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large saucepan, whisk together pudding, milk, Jameson and coffee.

  • Step 2: Bring to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until it gets thick (about 10 minutes).

  • Step 3: Remove from heat and let cool 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent skin forming.

  • Step 4: Pour into pie shell and smooth top; cover and refrigerate at least two hours up to two days.

  • Step 5: Before serving, cover with whipped cream. Sprinkles can be added for a more festive look.
