Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup apple, finely chopped (tart)
  • 1/4 cup cooked brown rice (or long grain white)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 tablespoons sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Hamburger buns

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix together the apple, rice, cayenne, onion, garlic, sage, allspice. thyme and parsley

  • Step 2: Drizzle this mixture over the ground turkey and gently mix together.

  • Step 3: Form 2 half inch patties

  • Step 4: In a non stick skillet cook the patties over medium high heat, apprx 5 minutes each side or until internal temp reaches 165f

  • Step 5: Place on a lightly toasted bun and top with your favorite condiments
