Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt).

  • Step 2: In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, butter and vanilla then pour over dry ingredients. Whisk until combined, but still slightly lumpy.

  • Step 3: Lightly brush griddle with some oil at medium-high heat.

  • Step 4: Pour batter (1/4 cup at a time), into pan. Cook until bubbles appear on top, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until bottoms are golden brown, about 1 minute.
