Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (poached in water, then shredded or chopped)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or more)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 to 15 biscuits, unbaked (you could use Pillsbury Grands refrigerated biscuits)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

  • Step 2: Saute onions in butter over medium heat. Once they are tender add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add flour and cook for 2 minutes. Add chicken broth and stir constantly until thickened. You may need to adjust the chicken broth up or down depending on desired thickness. Add cream of chicken soup to mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 3: Place chopped cooked chicken on bottom baking dish, pour soup mixture over the top. Add biscuits on top.

  • Step 4: Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are done.
