Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper (or more)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more)
  • 2 pounds ground beef (1 pound lean and 1 pound regular)
  • 8 slices (8 ounces) cheddar cheese
  • 8 hamburger (12 ounces) bread buns (split and toasted)
  • Bacon strips, cooked (as many as you want)
  • OPTIONAL TOPPINGS
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickle slices

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 8 even patties.

  • Step 2: Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 3 in. from the heat for 4-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear.

  • Step 3: Top with cheese. Grill 1 minute longer or until cheese is melted.

  • Step 4: Serve on buns with bacon and toppings of your choice
