Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 squash (butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks)
  • 3 medium apples (cored, peeled and sliced, I use Granny Smiths)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice (I use no sugar added juice)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat the inside of a 1-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.

  • Step 2: Combine squash and apples with lemon juice and cinnamon in a large bowl. Toss to coat well. Place in casserole.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle with brown sugar. Pour apple juice over mixture.

  • Step 4: Cover casserole with lid or foil and bake 1 hour, or until squash is tender.
