Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries, washed
  • 1 Granny Smith apple (or other tart apple), peeled and cored
  • 1 large orange, seedless (cut into sections do not peel)
  • 2 teaspoons gingerroot, peeled and finely minced
  • 1 to 2 cups granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Set up grinder attachment on stand mixer (Kitchenaid) or use a table top grinder, with medium blade. (If using old fashioned table top type grinder, make sure to have a drip pan, as this gets quite juicy.)

  • Step 2: Run fruit through the grinder. Use the entire (seedless) orange, peels, pith and all.

  • Step 3: Stir in ginger and part of the sugar (I start with 1 cup-then add more to taste-we like it tart).

  • Step 4: Let sit at room temperature until sugar dissolves, about 45 minutes.

  • Step 5: Store in the refrigerator.
