  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, unsalted (melted, 1 stick)

  • 2 large eggs

  • Honey-Cinnamon Frosting, see my posted recipe
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.

  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Make a well in center of flour mixture.

  • Step 3: In the well, mix together butter, mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla. Stir to incorporate flour mixture, but do not overmix.

  • Step 4: Dividing evenly, spoon batter into the muffin cups.

  • Step 5: Bake until a toothpick inserted in center of a cupcake comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove cupcakes from pan; cool completely on a wire rack.

  • Step 6: Spread tops with Honey-Cinnamon Frosting.

  • Step 7: Optional: Just before serving, peel and slice banana into rounds, and place one on each cupcake, if desired.
