Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 2: For the cake; In a large bowl, combine all cake ingredients; beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Transfer the batter to two greased and floured 9-in. round baking pans.
Step 4: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean.
Step 5: Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 6: For the frosting; In a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Add the confectioners’ sugar, salt, cream or milk, cinnamon and vanilla extract; beat until smooth.
Step 7: Spread the frosting between layers and over top and sides of cake.
Step 8: Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
Step 9: Store in the refrigerator.
