Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 to 6 pounds pork ribs (country-style)
  • Cajun seasoning mix (1 1/2 cups #recipe249 )
  • 2 large yellow onions (quartered)
  • 5 to 6 garlic cloves, crushed ( more to taste )
  • 1/3 cup black pepper
  • 1/4 cup salt sea salt (fine)
  • Hot sauce, to taste (optional)
  • Barbecue sauce (one 18 ounce bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Fill a large pot (12 quart) 2/3 full with water.

  • Step 2: Add all ingredients except BBQ sauce.

  • Step 3: Bring to a boil over high heat.

  • Step 4: As soon as water begins to boil, lower heat to simmer and simmer for 45-60 minutes.

  • Step 5: Stir occasionally.

  • Step 6: Drain off liquid.

  • Step 7: Place ribs in a large baking pan.

  • Step 8: Pour BBQ sauce over ribs.

  • Step 9: Cover with foil and bake in a 350°F oven for about 30-45 minutes.
