  • 4 to 5 peeled and cored (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds) apples (thinly sliced)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened

How to Make

  • Step 1: Toss apples with the 2-3 tablespoons sugar. Place into pie

  • Step 2: Shell, rounding up in the center.

  • Step 4: Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees.

  • Step 5: Reduce heat to 350 degrees, for 30 minutes more, until crunchy and brown.
