  • Chicken, cooked (Left-over roast chicken, pieces or whole)
  • Chicken broth
  • Vegetables, cut up (Leeks, onions, carrots and celery)
  • Dill weed
  • Salt & pepper
  • Barley

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a heavy dutch oven, place the chicken and vegetables. Add a pinch of dill weed and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour chicken broth over so that everything is submerged.

  • Step 2: Cook at least 1 hour. Attempt to remove as many bones as possible. Add a handful of barley and cook another hour.

  • Step 3: Serve
