Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds chicken wings (whole or separated)
  • Kosher salt
  • Pepper, fresh ground
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup peanuts (roasted, roughly chopped)
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (Sriracha plus one tsp.)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 3/4 cup coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup water, hot
  • Peanut oil (or vegetable oil, for frying)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the wings on a baking sheet and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2: Pour the flour in a paper bag or large bowl and toss the wings./fir tge say

  • Step 3: Place the wings on a wire rack.

  • Step 4: Set inside a baking sheet or on the counter.

  • Step 5: For the sauce, in a small pot over medium heat combine the peanut butter, sriracha, soy sauce, jelly, and coconut cream.

  • Step 6: Slowly whisk in the hot water to loosen the mixture.

  • Step 7: Bring sauce to a simmer and whisk as it thickens, about 5 mins.

  • Step 8: Taste and season with a pinch of salt, if needed, and a few grounds of pepper.

  • Step 9: Heat oil in a Dutch oven, large pot, or fryer to deep fry, about 6 inches.

  • Step 10: Heat to 360 degrees.

  • Step 11: Fry wings in batches until golden brown, 12-14 mins.

  • Step 12: Drain on paper towels.

  • Step 13: Place some of the hot sauce in a large bowl.

  • Step 14: Toss wings in sauce to thoroughly coat.

  • Step 15: Place wings on a serving tray and sprinkle with nuts.

  • Step 16: Serve.
