We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large pot with some hot oil, brown the sausage slices, then remove the slices to a bowl. Add in more oil to your pot.

  • Step 2: Add in onions, jalapeno, celery, garlic, hot flakes and Italian seasoning, cook for around 3-4 minutes, stir with a large spoon for the full 3-4 minute time.

  • Step 3: Add in worcestershire sauce and the next five things. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook over low heat for 40-60 minutes or until vegetables are tender - keep close eye on the potatoes, make sure they don't get to mushy and soft

  • Step 4: After the vegetables are tender mix in ketchup and bell pepper, cook 12-15 minutes longer or until pepper is tender.

  • Step 5: Remove the bay leaf and throw it away.

  • Step 6: Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; gradually stir into stew. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

  • Step 7: Add more salt and pepper.
