  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast (2 packets)
  • 6 cups flour

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine water, salt and yeast in a large plastic tub or bowl with a lid; set aside for 10 minutes or until it starts to bubble.

  • Step 2: Dump flour in all at once and mix with greased hands (dough will be very sticky).

  • Step 3: Place lid on tub without sealing, and set dough aside to rise for 1-2 hours.

  • Step 4: Preheat oven to 450F; grease three 9x5-inch loaf pans.

  • Step 5: Split dough into thirds and press into prepared pans, smoothing the top.

  • Step 6: Bake at 450F for 30 minutes, let cool and slice.

  • Step 7: If you don't want to make three loaves right away, remaining dough can be refrigerated for up to three weeks.
