Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (or 1 1/2 teaspoon vinegar added to milk to make 1/2 cup, allow to sit for 5 minutes)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh-squeezed)
  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 teaspoon fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or more)
  • Ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine all ingredients together in a bowl until very well combined.

  • Step 2: Transfer to a glass jar with lid.

  • Step 3: Refrigerate one or more hours before using, and taste to adjust seasonings after dressing.

  • Step 4: For a thicker dip: increase sour cream by 1/4 cup (or, conversely, add more milk, a little at a time if a thinner consistency is desired).

  • Step 5: Shake well before each use.
