Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/8 cup paprika (classic paprika)
  • 1/8 cup paprika (smoked paprika)
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons light brown sugar (optional)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Rub ... Mix everything in a small bowl and transfer to a spice jar, or small tupperware container. I love using a small mason jar as well. They work great. Will last for 3 months. This recipe can easily be doubled (I always double mine); as I use them for ribs and my smoked pork butt. Note: the thyme and brown sugar are optional; if added, they added a bit of a different type of rub - but, equally as good.

  • Step 2: Use on your favorite proteins to be BBQ'd or grilled. ENJOY!
