  • Chopped green onions (for sprinkling on top)
  • SAUCE
  • 2/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 teaspoon brown sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 3: In a large bowl mix all meatball ingredients together.

  • Step 4: Form 1 inch sized balls and place on cookie sheet.

  • Step 5: Bake for about 15-20 minutes (until browned and not raw in the middle anymore).

  • Step 6: For the sauce: In a medium skillet mix all ingredients together. Cook stirring until simmering.

  • Step 7: Add meatballs; simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 8: Serve with cooked rice. topped with green onions.
