Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour (all purpose)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, softened (or you could use margarine)
  • FILLING
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanuts, salted (coarsely chopped, 1/2 cup after chopping)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: Grease a 13x9 pan with cooking spray, if you like a thicker bar use a 11x7 pan.

  • Step 3: In a large bowl, mix together oats, sugar, flour, baking soda and butter with a mixer until crumbly. Remove and reserve 2 cups, then set aside.

  • Step 4: Pour remaining crumb mix into the greased pan and pat down evenly.

  • Step 5: In a smaller bowl mix sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter and vanilla.

  • Step 6: Pour on top of crumb mixture.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle with chocolate chips and peanuts.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle the reserved 2 cups crumb mixture over top and press down evenly.

  • Step 9: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown (The center will not be set).

  • Step 10: Cool then cut into bars.
