Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces plain Greek yogurt (If you can't find Greek yogurt, regular yogurt is fine, but see my note below)
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Pinch teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, fine minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Yogurt ... Greek yogurt is a bit thicker than "regular" yogurt, but you can get that thick texture very easily. Add the yogurt to cheese cloth or a coffee filter and place in a colander and then over a bowl. Let it drain at least 8 hours, or over night. Most of the liquid will drain out and it will become very thick.

  • Step 2: Sauce ... Add the yogurt, lemon juice and zest, garlic, sugar, basil, salt and pepper to a small bowl and mix well. Serve and ENJOY!
