Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 whole carrot
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs (or dry bread crumbs)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium type)
  • 1 tablespoons ginger root (grated)
  • 2 teaspoons splenda (brown sugar mix or regular brown sugar if you wish)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken (or ground turkey)
  • Burger buns (6 buns, we like muli grain or whole wheat)
  • Garnishes
  • (mustard)
  • (mayonnaise, fat-free)
  • (sliced cucumber)
  • (lettuce)
  • (alfalfa sprouts)
  • (tomato)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Shred enough carrot to make 1/2 cup; squeeze out liquid.

  • Step 2: In a bowl, whisk egg white, whisk in carrot, onions, garlic, panko, soy sauce, ginger, splenda brown sugar mix and oil. Mix in chicken. shape into 6 half inch thick patties. Place on greased grill over medium heat; close lid and grill , turning once for about 15 to 20 minutes or until no longer pink inside. serve on buns with desired garnishes.
