Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (or your choice, mozzarella, brie)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt butter in heavy saucepan on top of stove.

  • Step 2: Add flour and stir until well mixed and bubbly being careful not to scorch.

  • Step 3: Remove from heat and add milk a bit at a time; stirring until well blended.

  • Step 4: Return sauce to heat and bring to a slight boil, stirring constantly.

  • Step 5: Reduce heat, add shredded cheese and Parmesan and cook until cheese melts and there is no taste of raw starch.

  • Step 6: Add salt and pepper to taste.
