Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 cups leftover baked potatoes, cut into bite size pieces,peeled or unpeeled your choice
  • 1 small sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 jumbo hot dogs,cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano(optional)
  • 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, or your choice

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat,until hot but not smoking.

  • Step 2: Place hot dog pieces in oil and brown slightly.

  • Step 3: Remove hot dogs and add onions then cook until slightly softened,then add potatoes and lightly brown.(you might need just a bit more oil to brown the potatoes)

  • Step 4: Add hot dogs back to potatoes and onions then sprinkle with seasonings, stirring slightly to coat everything.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle cheese over everything and cover with lid for 5 minutes,or until cheese is melted.
