Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cans (14 ounce) cans refried beans
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 packet (1/4 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10 ounce) Ro-Tel green chilies
  • 4 ounces salsa (medium hot chunky salsa, I use Chi Chi's)
  • 1 package (8 ounce) shredded cheese (four cheese Mexican blend)
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • Tortilla chips or Frito Scoops
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: On a large round or oval dish, spread out refried beans.

  • Step 2: Fry ground beef until no longer pink, and drain grease.

  • Step 3: Add Ro-Tel tomatoes and taco seasoning mix and let liquid boil out. Mixing a few times so the burger doesn't stick.

  • Step 4: When most of the juice is evaporated put the meat mixture over the refried bean layer.

  • Step 5: Spoon on salsa and spread across meat mixture.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle with cheese.

  • Step 7: Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

  • Step 8: In the meantime, spoon the sour cream into a small Zip-Lock bag, and cut the corner. Pipe a large dot in the middle of the cheese, then make a line about 1 inch from the circle all the way around, and continue making lines until you are at the edge of the mixture.

  • Step 9: Drag a tooth pick through the sour cream to make a web design, or you can draw horizontal lines with the sour cream a few inches apart, all the way around to make a spider web, so you can add more sour cream to the top. I usually do it this way.

  • Step 10: I decorated the top with a little spider for added affect.

  • Step 11: Use tortilla chips to scoop up dip.
