Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Karo Light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup walnuts

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a heavy saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients, and mix together.

  • Step 2: Cook on medium heat to 239 degrees using a candy thermometer.

  • Step 3: Take off stove, and add vanilla.

  • Step 4: Beat with wooden spoon until creamy and shiny.

  • Step 5: Add nuts, and stir well.

  • Step 6: Spread into a buttered 11x7 inch pan.

  • Step 7: Once cool, cut into squares.

  • Step 8: Store in a cookie tin or plastic container, and refrigerate, if you want to.

  • Step 9: Note: Cooking time is approximate. Use a candy thermometer.
