Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 16 butter crackers (Club crushed and divided)
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated and divided
  • 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Step 2: Saute bacon in a large nonstick skillet for 5 minutes; add onion and continue sauteeing another 5 minutes, until bacon is crisp and onions are translucent.

  • Step 3: Grease a 3-quart casserole dish; crush 12 of the Club crackers to crumbs and spread them in the bottom of the dish.

  • Step 4: When bacon and onions are done, remove from pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  • Step 5: Drizzle pan drippings over cracker crumbs in casserole dish.

  • Step 6: Slice three eggs, and place slices evenly over crumbs.

  • Step 7: Scatter 1/2 cup cheese over eggs.

  • Step 8: Spread bacon and onion mixture over cheese.

  • Step 9: Spread mushrooms over bacon and onions.

  • Step 10: Slice remaining three eggs and place slices evenly over mushrooms.

  • Step 11: Scatter remaining 1/2 cup cheese over eggs.

  • Step 12: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, pepper and milk until thoroughly combined.

  • Step 13: Spread mixture over top of casserole, smoothing out to edges.

  • Step 14: Crush remaining four Club crackers, scatter crumbs over top, and drizzle with melted butter.

  • Step 15: Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, until crumbs are lightly browned.
