Step 1: In a large skillet, add olive oil and onions. Saute 8 minutes. Add garlic and tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes.
Step 2: Add pepper flakes, salt, sugar, black pepper, cream, half and half, and cream cheese. Simmer 15 minutes.
Step 3: If you want a thicker sauce, you can simmer the sauce for 2 additional hours on low. Stir sauce every 10-15 minutes.
Step 4: Check seasonings.
Step 5: Add Parmesan.
Step 6: Allow sauce to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Step 7: Add sauce over noodles in large bowls and sprinkle with additional Parmesan.
