We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Filling ... Mix everything together in a small bowl, making sure everything is combined. Spread or spoon on the bread halves which are lightly hollowed out. Make sure to spread the filling over the bread; then, add the cheese topping.

  • Step 2: Bake ... Lay on a sheet pan, lined with foil (for easy clean up), and cover with foil. Bake 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven, middle shelf. Then, remove the foil, and continue to bake another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown.

  • Step 3: Serve ... Let it rest a few minutes before slicing. Then slice, serve, and ENJOY! It really is a great side to so many dishes.

  • Step 4: Note: That extra bread you scooped out - save and freeze. Great to add as a thickener to soups, perfect for stuffing or bread crumbs, etc.
