Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage,( I used the sage)
  • 6 medium sized green bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 (2 7/8 ounce) can French-fried onions
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed zesty tomato soup (if you can't find the zesty soup,use same sized can of tomato and add 1 1/2 tablespoons italian seasoning)
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce ( you can use more if you like )

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F, and grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  • Step 2: Slice tops off of peppers and remove seeds and membranes,if desired blanch peppers in boiling water.

  • Step 3: Set peppers in prepared dish.

  • Step 4: Cook sausage and garlic powder until sausage is browned and drain.

  • Step 5: In a medium bowl combine half of the French Onions,and the remaining ingredients mixing well.

  • Step 6: Evenly divide sausage/rice mixture into the peppers.

  • Step 7: Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes or until peppers are tender and filling is hot.

  • Step 8: Remove cover; top with remaining onions and bake 10 minutes more.
