Step 1: In a bowl with an electric mixer beat butter and the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and mix well.
Step 2: Divide the dough into two portions; cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or until easy to handle.
Step 3: In a small bowl, combine apples, 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon.
Step 4: On a lightly floured flat surface roll one portion of dough into a 15–in. x 9–in. rectangle; cut into 3-in. squares.
Step 5: Place a teaspoonful of apple mixture in the center of each square. Overlap two opposite corners of dough over filling; pinch tightly to seal.
Step 6: Place the apple rolls 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Repeat with remaining dough and apple mixture.
Step 7: Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or untilbottoms are lightly browned. Cool for 1 minute before removing from pans to wire racks. Combine the icing ingredients; drizzle over warm kolaches.
