Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Montery Jack cheese
  • 1 (4 ounce) can jalapeno peppers, diced
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (1 teaspoon)
  • 3 green onion. minced or finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrapper
  • Oil, for frying

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium bowl mix together cream cheese, Monterey jack cheese, jalapeno peppers, garlic and green onions; mix well to combine then season with a little black pepper.

  • Step 2: Fill the wonton wrappers with approximately 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture.

  • Step 3: Fold wrappers into triangles then press with a moistened fork to seal (or seal edges as desired).

  • Step 4: In a large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat.

  • Step 5: Drop 3-4 wontons in at a time into the oil, and quickly fry, turning once until golden brown.

  • Step 6: Remove to paper towels then enjoy!
