Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (14 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed (doesn't have to be 14 ounce can it can be more)
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten (or 2 egg whites)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons medium salsa
  • 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs (or oatmeal)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mash the beans beans in a large bowl.

  • Step 2: Mix in all remaining ingredients. Shape into 5 patties. Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate 8-24 hours.

  • Step 3: Fry patties in a skillet with a little oil or oven bake.
