Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 8 garlic cloves, mashed or chopped
  • 28 ounces sausage links (two 14 ounce packages smoked sausage, thinly sliced)
  • 2 (1.5 ounce) packets taco seasoning mix
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans whole corn, drained
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans back beans, undrained
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans chili beans or pinto beans, undrained
  • 1 (14 ounce) can Rotel diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced new potatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar sliced jalapeños, undrained (yep the whole jar!)
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Louisaina hot sauce, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Lawry's seasoning salt
  • Beer or water (if you want to thin it, but not to much!)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over high heat until nicely browned. Add in garlic and cook another 2 minutes. Pour off excess grease,

  • Step 2: Add the ground beef mixture to a 6-quart slow cooker. Stir in all the remaining ingredients into the slow cooker. Cook on High for 3 hours.
