  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups apples, thinly sliced (peeled)
  • CRUMB TOPPING
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a food processor place 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar and butter.

  • Step 3: Process until crumbly.

  • Step 4: Press into an ungreased 9x9 inch baking dish.

  • Step 5: Bake for 25 minutes. Remove.

  • Step 6: In a medium size bowl mix together 1/3 cup sugar, 2 Tablespoons flour and the cinnamon.

  • Step 7: Stir in apples to coat.

  • Step 8: Spoon over baked layer.

  • Step 9: In food processor add crumb topping ingredients.

  • Step 10: Process until crumbly.

  • Step 11: Sprinkle crumb topping over the apples evenly distributing.

  • Step 12: Bake 35-40 minutes or until topping is light brown and apples are tender.

  • Step 13: Cool completely before cutting into bars.
