Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 (10 3/4) oz. cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 (2 pound) package frozen has brown potatoes ( I use the southern type)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the soup, sour cream and garlic salt.

  • Step 2: Add the potatoes, onions and cheddar cheese. Mix well.

  • Step 3: Pour into a greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Top with the Parmesan cheese.

  • Step 4: Bake, uncovered at 350 for 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is melted.

  • Step 5: Topping Variation: I've used about 2 cups of crushed corn flakes tossed with about 1/3 cup melted butter as a topping as well.

  • Step 6: Option: To kick it up a notch, a can of diced green chilies can also be added to the potato mixture,
