Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped, divided
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 to 6 medium mushrooms, cleaned, sliced
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pit removed, sliced
  • 1/3 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium roma tomato, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 lime, squeezed for juice (2 tablespoonsjuice)
  • Buns (3 of your choice)

How to Make

  • Step 1: A couple of hours before dinner mix together 1/4 cup cilantro, diced onion, tomato, jalapeno pepper, avocado topped with the squeezed fresh lime juice' place in the fridge

  • Step 2: Mix together 1/2 cup cilantro, the ground beef, chopped chipotle peppers, worchestershire sauce, seasoned with salt and pepper. Form meat mixture into 3 patties

  • Step 3: Lightly spray a skillet, medium/high heat, brown one side of the patties for 2-3 minutes, turn heat down to medium, flip the patties, add mushrooms to the pan cover and fry for about 3 minutes, flip the burgers again lower heat a bit more, stir the mushrooms, cover and continue cooking until the patties are done about 2 more minutes

  • Step 4: Serve on toasted buns topped with the avocado salsa, mushrooms on the side or on top of the burger Enjoy
