Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons butter (do not use oil)
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup uncooked thin spaghetti, broken into about 1-inch pieces (measure 1/3 to 1/2 cup after breaking)
  • 3/4 cup uncooked white long-grain rice
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillion powder
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a skillet heat butter over medium-high heat. Add in the spaghetti pieces stir constantly until the spaghetti begins to brown.

  • Step 2: Just as the spaghetti is starting to brown, add in the rice, stir constantly until the rice is coated with the butter and the spaghetti darkens/browns more. Pour in broth and bouillion powder. Simmer until liquid is absorbed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
