  • 1/2 cup extra dark Hershy's cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cupchopped walnuts (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

  • Step 2: In a bowl stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and walnuts; Set aside.

  • Step 3: In large bowl combine eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla; combine using a wooden spoon until smooth. Stir in dry ingredients; mix well. Spread batter evenly into pan.

  • Step 4: Bake for about 25 minutes (do not overbake, the brownies are ready when edges are just set and center is still soft). Cool and frost with chocolate frosting.
