  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk

  • Fresh garlic, minced
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • Cooked corn or peas

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Add beef and butter and cook until beef begins to curl, stirring frequently.

  • Step 5: Simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.

  • Step 6: Add optional seasonings or vegetables as desired.

  • Step 7: To adjust consistency: add more milk if the sauce is too thick; add a teaspoon of cornstarch combined with 1/4 cup cold water if it's too thin.
