Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 large skinless boneless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable or Canola oil

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch (or 1 heaping tablespoon)
  • Cooked rice
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pat all chicken dry as possible using paper towels. In a large bowl using clean hands gently combine/mix the chicken cubes with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch mixing until all the cubes are coated.

  • Step 2: In a small bowl whisk the honey garlic sauce with 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch (keep the whisk in the bowl, you will need to re-whisk it again just before adding to the skillet) -- Have this sauce ready and near the stove.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add in cornstarch-coated chicken cubes; using two spatulas (one in each hand) toss the chicken continuously until cooked through, about 7-8 minutes, depending on the size of your cubes, reducing heat to medium and seasoning with salt and pepper about halfway through cooking time.

  • Step 4: When you think the chicken is cooked through, re-whisk the sauce then pour over the chicken. Tossing with a spatula or a wooden spoon to coat the chicken, simmering until the sauce is thickened (about 3 minutes).

  • Step 5: Serve immediately with hot cooked rice.
