Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (9 ounce) package frozen CREAMED spinach, thawed according to package directins
  • 6 ounces dry spaghetti pasta,cooked about half way or until al dente (measure 6 ounces before cooking)
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or oil
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 2/3 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 10-inch deep-dish pie plate.

  • Step 2: In a bowl toss the cooked spaghetti with melted butter or oil and 2 beaten eggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. Press onto bottom and up side of the greased pie plate. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until set.

  • Step 3: In a bowl, combine thawed creamed spinach, remaining 4 lightly beaten eggs, ricotta cheese, 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, half-and-half, minced onion, garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon onto partially baked pasta shell. Top with remaining 1 cup (or more) mozzarella cheese.

  • Step 4: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean; cool for 10 minutes before serving.
