Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries (see note)
  • Melted butter and sugar, additional, to brush on after baking

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, blend beaten eggs, milk, butter, nutmeg and vanilla. Pour into dry ingredients and mix JUST TILL MOISTENED. Fold in blueberries. Note: If using frozen blueberries, rinse and pat dry before adding to batter.

  • Step 3: Fill greased or paper-lined muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and brush tops with additional melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
