Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 cups tomato juice
  • 2 cups ice cold vodka
  • 6 limes, juice of
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • Crushed ice
  • 12 freshly shucked oysters
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Lime wedges to serve
  • Kosher salt for rim

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put the tomato juice, vodka, lime juice and Tabasco sauce in a pitcher half-full of crushed ice.

  • Step 2: Stir well.

  • Step 3: Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of 12 shot glasses; press the rim into a saucer of kosher salt.

  • Step 4: Put 1 oyster in each shot glass.

  • Step 5: Add the chilled vodka mixture, then top with lime zest, a little salt and pepper and a lime wedge speared with a toothpick.
