Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 F.
Step 2: In a bowl combine mashed bananas with oatmeal, buttermilk, eggs, oil, brown sugar, and vanilla. Mix well.
Step 3: In the second bowl combine whole wheat flour and next 4 dry ingredients.
Step 4: Add to banana mixture, stirring until thoroughly blended. Batter will be thin.
Step 5: Spoon into greased muffin cups. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until set and golden.
